With their fast rise on the EDM Scene, it's hardly a surprise that Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed of Tritonal have earned their spot as Spinning Decks #1 DJ for 2012. There is little territory that has been untouched by these Texas natives, and over the last year they have made it clear that they belong in the upper echelon of American DJs and that they wont be going anywhere but up.
Their first real breakthrough into the Trance scene occurred in 2009 with the official release of Tritonal's Air Up There remix of Ferry Corsten's hit single "We Belong." Only a year after they began releasing music this track propelled them forward on the dance music scene, pushing them towards a 2010 that would include several releases as well as the founding of their own record label, Air Up There Recordings. This momentum would only snowball into 2011, with the release of Piercing The Quiet, Tritonal's artist album. Collaborating with the likes of Jeza, Jenry R., Bethany, Meridith Call, Fisher, and the amazing Christina Soto, Piercing the Quiet delivered one of the most intense, uplifting, and Trance-tastic sounds of the recent few years.
In 2012, Spinning Decks has had the pleasure of seeing Tritonal on three occasions. First at EDC Las Vegas, at one of the most incredible shows we've been to. On the third day, Tritonal performed for a little over an hour to the crowd of dedicated fans pictured above (you can find the set here). Later this summer we were fortunate enough to procure tickets for Governor's Island in NYC to see Dash Berlin and Tritonal with Zack Roth playing a great opening set. This was an especially important event for us as Tritonal dropped a very old, very loved song: Secret (Andrew Bayer Remix) - Above and Beyond. Our final Tritonal treat was on Thanksgiving Day, when we saw Tritonal, Super8 and Tab, and Paul Van Dyk at Pacha NYC for a true Trancegiving.
We have heard Tritonal throw down every genre from Trance, to House, to Dubstep, and there is no question about how well these two mix or how much they love what they are doing. When we saw them drop new tracks (one at EDC and one on Governor's Island) the enthusiasm they deliver is incredible! Moving in time to the beats of these brand new tracks it was evident that these two would rather be doing nothing else.
So if you love Tritonal, have heard of them, or are simply a lover of Trance, go give these guys a listen. You can find them on SoundCloud, Facebook or Twitter, as well as their official Tritonal website. We are confident that you wont regret adding Tritonal to your playlists and we know that the next year is only going to bring Tritonal onto a bigger stage with their uplifting productions and their enthusiastic stage presence.
It's 2013! Tritonians Unite!
